New waste management programme
New waste management programme

Increasingly greater attention is being paid to waste management and recyclability.  As a manufacturer of flexible packaging we see this everyday within our own customer base.   We are always looking at ways of producing more sustainable packaging solutions as the need for reduction of plastic products to landfill is starting to be understood as an urgent requirement. Supermarkets, brands and converters are under growing pressure to improve packaging recyclability.

Likewise, we have a duty to look at how our own business operates and the impact that we have on the environment.  We have a number of 'green' initiatives running throughout the company and in recent months have placed particular attention on our recycling and waste management activities. Entering into a partnership arrangement with a local waste management company has enabled us to further improve our efforts in this area. All of our waste streams have been assessed and as a result we have launched a number of new initiatives which include  the introduction of  a new colour coding system for segregating recyclable material, new skips for recyclable material and a drive to reduce our general waste.

We are seeing some good results and will continue with our commitment to reduce, reuse and recycle all we can.
